Our policy is ‘Safety By Design’ - Health & Safety at P.E.C. is driven from the top-down, our common sense approach is to protect everyone involved in and affected by our operations.

With our full time Health & Safety Manager, we continually improve our systems and procedures with the help of our very proactive Health & Safety committee. In addition to this, we work closely with the CITB in order to train our workforce to the highest standard.

We have pledged to work with the Health and Safety Executive and its partners to be part of the solution in the HSE Health & Safety Plan Pledge 2009/10 to reduce work related injuries.

We are Constructionline & CHAS accredited and are currently working towards achieving OHSAS 18001.

All our employees from senior management to site staff are CSCS approved to their relevant standards.

Quality

We are committed to delivery projects to the highest standard and quality and are currently working towards achieving ISO 9001.

Environment

As a socially responsible organisation, we are very aware of environmental issues and the impact on the environment caused by PEC.

As a result of this, we have implemented numerous environmental policies including a complete recycling procedure to ensure minimal waste sent to landfill sites and additional seats in vans to reduce carbon emissions.

Although we do try keeping waste products to a minimum, if we do have any products left over from a contract such as paint, varnishes etc these are donated to our local college to be used for training apprentices.

We are currently working towards achieving ISO 14001.
